A Plus Christmas Lights KC ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you request a quote or visit this website, how we use it, and how you can reach us with questions.

Information You Give Us

When you fill out our quote form, we ask for:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your property address
• Your company name, if you are requesting a commercial quote
• Your lighting preferences (what you'd like lit and what style you'd like)
• Any notes you add about your project
• Photos of your home or property, if you choose to add them

If you upload photos, your browser normally resizes them before they are sent to us. If your browser can't read a photo's format, the original file is sent instead, as long as it is under 3 MB.

How We Use It

We use the information you submit to prepare your quote, design your display, schedule your installation, and follow up with you about your request. We do not sell your information to anyone.

How Your Request Reaches Us

When you submit a form, it is sent as an email to our business using Postmark, an email delivery service that processes the message on our behalf. We also send you a confirmation email so you know we received it.

We also keep a copy of your request in our customer records, which are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, in a database we share with our sister company A Plus Junk Removal KC (same owner). The copy includes your contact details, what you asked for, how you found our website, the pages you viewed and how long you spent on the site during that visit, the random visit and visitor IDs described below, and the general type of device you used (phone, tablet or computer). Photos are not kept there, only in the email. We use these records to follow up, to recognize returning customers from season to season, and to understand which ways of finding us lead to customers. If you start a form and leave without sending it, nothing you typed is saved.

Information About Your Visit

So we can see how visitors find us and which pages help them, our website keeps its own simple visit statistics. We do not set cookies of our own, and we do not use an outside analytics company for this. Your browser keeps a few items in its own storage:

• A random visitor ID, which does not contain your name or any contact details, kept for up to 12 months (your browser's local storage)
• The page you first landed on, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link (like utm_source), and whether you arrived by clicking an ad, kept for up to 12 months
• A random visit ID, the pages you've viewed and how long you've spent on the site during this visit (your browser's session storage, cleared when you close the tab)

As you use the site, it sends us a short note of each page you view and of certain actions: tapping to call or text us, clicking our main buttons and links, reaching the pricing section, starting and moving through the quote form, adding photos, and using the gallery. Each note includes the random IDs above, how you arrived (referring site and campaign tags), the general type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and the country the visit comes from. We do not store your IP address, your exact browser or anything you type. These notes are stored with Cloudflare, in the same records our sister company A Plus Junk Removal KC (same owner) uses for its website, and are deleted automatically once they are about 13 months old.

On their own, these notes don't tell us who you are. If you submit a form, your request includes your random visitor ID, so we can see which pages you looked at before contacting us. Clearing your browser's site data removes the items in your browser and starts a new random ID.

Services We Use

A few outside services help us run this website:

• Postmark delivers your request to our email inbox and sends your confirmation email.
• Google may suggest matching addresses as you type in the address field. When it does, the text you type there is sent to Google to find those suggestions; Google's own privacy policy applies to that lookup.
• Cloudflare hosts this website, stores our customer records and visit statistics, and provides Turnstile, a security check that helps keep spam and bots out of our forms. Turnstile may look at signals from your device and browser to tell a real visitor from a bot.
• Google Analytics may be used to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed. When it is active, Google may set its own cookies in your browser. Google's own privacy policy explains how it handles that data.

Calls and Texts

By submitting our quote form, you agree that we may call or text you at the number you provide about your request, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.

Children

Our website and services are meant for adults arranging Christmas lighting for their home or business. We do not knowingly direct this site to children under 13 or collect their information.

Access and Deletion

If you'd like to know what information we have from your quote request, or you'd like it deleted from our records, email us at [email protected] or call 816-588-2505. We'll take care of it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this page from time to time as our website or services change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
